Big head?

I don't think this turned out too bad. I've never been too good at side profiles, so this is quite good for me! Although I think maybe the proportions aren't quite right with the head and arm, but hey!

Just so you know, I understand that I have not posted a little while, I have been doing a design project.

KID-5 minute.

5 minute drawing this time.
There is an spread in Purple magazine where they have kids dressed up in Designer wear (which of course is massive on them) and I used this for my two 5 minute drawings. Unfortunately, due to them being kids.. they kind of pull funny/scary faces... and with my quick scribbley drawings... well they look a little horror movie-ish!! You may get nightmares!
I kind of don't want to put them on here, BUT the whole point of this blog is to improve. I'm not here pretending to be an artist, or saying that I'm good and stuff.. this is my own development, I want to be good, but I'm not right now. This blog is about learning, and because of this fact....

10 minute morning drawing.

10 minutes, and Purple Magazine at my side. 

Obviously it's not as detailed as I'd like but thats the whole point of the ten minute drawing, to be quick and get proportions as much in as you can. I'm not too unhappy about this. Yes, it is quite alright for this morning drawing.

Oh, and the below is a photoshopped version. Now, I have only played with the levels and contrast, usually I'd be able to create these tones with a pencil, however, all I have right now is a retractable! 

Attempt two.

I'm still not very happy. In the magazine a shine light covers her privately, so in photoshop I do the same. Along with adjusting the levels a tad. I'm not happy with her lips, or head in general. Humm.. I shall try again soon.

NUDE ALERT.
I'm really dissapointed with how this came out. I think I've done the shading quite well and the background ok, but i hate hate hate the face. It isn't quite in proportion. Well.. it's just not. So, yeah something I need to work on here. I like drawing nudes, and since I don't have a naked man/lady to hand whenever I need to do a quick drawing, I'll have to make do with Purple magazine. For now.

A Working Progress

Greetings again, 

So I wanted to start creating templates ready for next projects or if I have a sudden burst of inspiration anytime soon... and partly because I'm kind of bored.

In the past I have kind of had a very obvious template to work with so I wanted to experiment with something a little more abstract.

Through uni applications and chats with my tutor drawing is my weak point and needs to improve.
